Hello friends over here and over there,
On Saturday June 13th A Pencil and A Lens with Ty Williams opens at DDR Projects in Long Beach, Ca at 7PM. This email contains information about its interworkings.

Living close together in NYC, Ty and I see the same things, but have chosen to express what we see with completely different mediums. Ty’s roots lay in illustration, whereas mine are primarily in photography. Although I am not a documentary photographer by nature, I have inevitably become that living in a place so interesting as New York City.
Ty lives in the places I shoot and can often be found in front of my lens. According to Ty, I am a comedian... and he finds himself transferring that to paper.
Observing the relevance of the artist as a cultural interpreter, we want people to see our two different paths and experience the dialogue that we have, operating with the tools we've grown accustom to using.
With the release of our first cooperative book, a 100 page monograph which is aptly titled "A Pencil and a Lens", Ty and I present a sampling of the works found in that book for live exhibition, showing for a month's time at John Geldbach's DDR Projects in LA. Unfortunately, the books have been lost and were shipped to Wildwood, Missouri and not Wildwood, NJ where am currently living for the summer, so they will not be at the gallery in time for you to purchase there. However, I will set up an online purchase option via PayPal and I will tactfully ship one out once you pay for it. Also, wish Ty a farewell (bienworld@yahoo.com) as he will be leaving tomorrow for a 3 month art commission in Japan. Check him out at www.TyPaints.com
Also, a similar show will be held in September at NYC's Secret Project Robot for all those not in California.
Thanks for your time, and my sincerest apologies if this email was not suppose to be mailed to you.
thanks
xx
