EMBRACE RECOVERY VOLCOM JAPAN DISASTER RELIEF

　There is one other anniversary I would like to remind folks about this week...that is the events of last years earthquake and Tsunami here in Japan. As I am living here now waiting for the birth of my first Daughter it is even more important to me than it was a year ago. The follow up on this has not been half of what it should be.If I mention it..it's like a secret no one wants to talk about. I can live in Tokyo ...one of the biggest cites in the world and the awareness of what has happened is minimal at best...the conversation about radiation gets dirty looks and raises fear...just right back to shopping and living as usual. Let's not talk about it...esp the younger generation.It was the biggest tragedy since WW 2 and its effects are much more devastating.They are Global and effecting everyone. Esp in the other place I call home Hawaii. The radiation is not something you will hear about..and I'm waiting to see how in 10 years its effects on me and my family are something we will have to live with if not more immediately...I pray for all those who have passed to help us learn this lesson...and those still living with its effects...this is not to be taken casually...let us not forget..it's not that we can't make mistakes as human beings..its that we must learn from them and never make them again..!!! The Earthquake and Tsunami were not the worst effects from this disaster it was the man-made nuclear plants with radiation leakage that are killing more and more everyday. Even as we speak this is ongoing...please get more information ..and help others who are less fortunate.
